We are moving all sales and support to go through Comet Pinball.

LEDs are great for improving the colors and lighting up dim inserts, but pinball machines were designed to use incandescent bulbs. LEDs can look harsh and have flicker issues due to the way lamps are controlled. LED OCD allows you to customize how lamps are controlled in order to make them react more like incandescent bulbs, or just better in general.

System 3-7 GamesWilliams Defender (System 7) has been confirmed working. It required modification of the cables, but otherwise, the owner reports that it is working well.

For example videos, see the media page.

For more information, read the FAQ.

We have changed how these are listed on our website, and the cables are included in this selection. No separate cable selection is necessary.

If you would rather not make holes in your game's backbox, you have the option of 3D printing a bracket and installing as described here. If you do not have access to a 3D printer, you can also purchase the bracket as an add-on. Keep in mind that is not required for installation. Orders including brackets may take a day or two longer to ship due to the time required to print the brackets.

As of 5-16-2016, the boards are an updated design that is much smaller than the original LED OCD but provides the same functionality. Please note, however, that these boards do not support a game full of incandescent bulbs like the original did. Convert your game to LED before powering up the game with the newer LED OCD Mini installed.

Since I've had this question a number of times, you can use SOME incandescent, but not a game full of them. I'm not quite sure where the limit is. The installed fuse is conservative to protect the board, and you may blow it if you have too many incandescent installed. If so, please contact us.

We have historically included a mini-USB cable that can be used to connect to a PC for configuration. We are increasingly hearing comments that this is not necessary to include, so I am going to remove the mini-USB cable from the kit. Until I run out, you can request a cable in the comments of your order. Alternately, you can use a standard mini-USB cable that you already have or can get inexpensively from many different retailers.
